Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Moffat Guesthouse website, making a reservation, or staying at our property, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
Reservations and Bookings
All room reservations are subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion. To confirm a reservation, you must provide accurate and complete information, including valid payment details.

Booking Confirmation

Upon completing your reservation, you will receive a confirmation email. Please review this confirmation carefully and contact us immediately if any information is incorrect.

Group Bookings

For group bookings of 5 or more rooms, special terms and conditions may apply. Please contact us directly for group reservation policies.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation policies vary depending on the room type, rate plan, and time of booking. Please review your specific cancellation policy at the time of booking.

Standard Cancellation

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before check-in are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of check-in may incur a charge equivalent to the first night's stay.
No-Show Policy
Failure to arrive on your scheduled check-in date without prior notice will be treated as a no-show, and the full reservation amount may be charged.
Check-In and Check-Out
- Check-in Time: From 2:00 PM
- Check-out Time: By 10:00 AM
- Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability, additional fees may apply.
- Valid government-issued identification is required at check-in for all guests.

Payment Terms

Full payment or a deposit may be required at the time of booking, depending on the rate plan selected. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and electronic fund transfers. All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

Guest Responsibilities

As a guest of Moffat Guesthouse, you agree to

- Provide accurate and truthful information during booking and check-in.
- Respect other guests, staff, and property.
- Comply with all property rules and regulations.
- Not engage in illegal activities on the premises.
- Be responsible for any damage caused to the property or its contents during your stay.
- Keep noise levels reasonable, especially during nighttime hours.

Property Rules

- Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all rooms and enclosed public areas. Designated smoking areas are available outside.
- Pets are not allowed unless prior arrangements have been made and approved.
- Visitors are permitted only with prior notification and approval from management.
- Commercial photography or filming on the property requires written permission.
Liability

Moffat Guesthouse is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury to persons or property occurring on our premises, except where caused by our negligence. We strongly recommend that guests obtain appropriate travel insurance to cover cancellations, medical expenses, and loss of personal belongings.

Parking
Parking is provided at your own risk. We are not responsible for any damage, theft, or loss of vehicles or their contents while parked on our premises.
Privacy and Data Protection
Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to such collection and use.
Modifications to Services
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time without prior notice. This includes room rates, amenities, and operating hours.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moffat Guesthouse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or stay at our property.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
